Woman killed in Minn. identified
Authorities have released the name of a grandmother who was struck and killed by a car while she was walking with her 1-year-old grandson in Brooklyn Park. The Hennepin County medical examiner said 49-year-old Kimberly Emmert of Brooklyn Park died Friday afternoon as a result of blunt force injuries. Police said Emmert was walking with the infant in a stroller when a 46-year-old man backed out of a driveway and hit her. Police said the vehicle rolled over Emmert’s upper body. The grandchild was not injured.
