Bike tour wrapping up in N.D.

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — The Candisc bike tour is wrapping up its weeklong run through northeastern North Dakota. The seven-day tour runs along a 426-mile loop. The riders say it's a good time.

The seven-day tour runs along a 426-mile loop. The riders say it's a good time.

Cyclist Dan Zander says people are friendly and helpful along the way. The tour also brings business to small towns.

Karen Lauer and her daughter are on their second tour together. She says it's been a great bonding experience and they've made some new friends. She says it's like ``going to camp for a week that's fun.'

The Far East Candisc Tour began in Garrison on Aug. 1. It wraps up there Saturday.
