RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — A self-proclaimed advocate for American Indians faces up to 110 years in prison after pleading guilty to sex crimes involving children.

Forty-three-year-old Kevin Peniska of Rapid City pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree rape and one count of aggravated child abuse. Prosecutors dropped nine other sex charges.

Authorities say the abuse of two girls in their early teens and a young boy started in 2002 and continued until Peniska's arrest earlier this year.

Peniska is a former publisher of Well Nations Magazine. He is to be sentenced Oct. 27.
