Chicago man admits to sex crimes in Deadwood

DEADWOOD, S.D. (AP) — A Chicago man accused of recording child sex crimes on a cell phone has pleaded guilty to several charges in South Dakota.

DEADWOOD, S.D. (AP) — A Chicago man accused of recording child sex crimes on a cell phone has pleaded guilty to several charges in South Dakota.

Twenty-two-year-old Juan Otero faces up to 65 years in prison on three counts of statutory rape of a 15-year-old girl in Deadwood and two counts of manufacturing or possessing child pornography.

Authorities say Otero met the girl over the Internet and traveled last August to Deadwood, where he recorded the sex crimes on his cell phone.
