Boy injured in shooting

MADDOCK, N.D. (AP) — Benson County Sheriff Steve Rohrer says a 17-year-old boy was not seriously hurt when a gun accidentally discharged in a Maddock parking lot.

MADDOCK, N.D. (AP) — Benson County Sheriff Steve Rohrer says a 17-year-old boy was not seriously hurt when a gun accidentally discharged in a Maddock parking lot.

Rohrer said the teenager was shot in the arm and leg late Thursday when a pistol was being passed to him by another juvenile. The two were in vehicles parked next to one another.

The injured boy was treated at a Devils Lake hospital and released.

The Benson County state’s attorney is reviewing the incident.
