Semi hits, kills bicyclist

The Highway Patrol says a semi making a left turn on U.S. Highway 85 struck and killed a bicyclist.

WATFORD CITY, N.D. (AP) — The Highway Patrol says a semi making a left turn on U.S. Highway 85 struck and killed a bicyclist.

The patrol said 46-year-old Connie Jean Wold of Watford City was pedaling across a city street at the intersection with the highway late Tuesday afternoon when she was struck.

Authorities said charges are pending against the semi driver, 46-year-old David Hunter of St. Paul Park, Minn.
