Prairie Rose and the Sidekicks come from central North Dakota and are made up of Cathy Unterseher and her children, Slade, Cheyenne and Cassidy. They bring onstage guitars, banjo, and violin. This musical group has sung at many events including the Cody Stampede, Cheyenne Cowboy Symposium and North Dakota Governor’s Prayer Breakfast.
As a family they have performed in numerous states throughout the country and have sung their rendition of the national anthem at University of North Dakota hockey games, Bismarck Bobcats hockey games and Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks baseball games.
Cathy Unterseher shared the cover of Country Woman magazine with son Slade, and together this family was recognized as the first Homegrown Talent Contest winners through KFYR in 1999.
