St. Paul’s women set activities

The United Methodist Women of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church is having its annual September birthday party at Ave Maria Village at 2 p.m. Sept. 17.

Vera Suko, Eileen Goebel, Clara Christ, Mayda Mueller and Carol Malard helped serve the refreshments for the Aug. 25 State Hospital birthday party. This has been a yearly mission project of the group.

Upcoming activities include the Three Rivers District UMW Spiritual Retreat and Annual Meeting at Wahpeton Evergreen United Methodist Church, Sept. 11-12. Register at the church office or call Julie Wayne at 952-1579 by Sept. 6.

Also on Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. is the unit meeting at the church. The program is by Membership, Nurture and Out Reach. Our Shephardess Norma Hochhalter will visit to talk about her office, which is chairperson of nominations. The unit meeting will also include the election of officers.

Oct. 2-3 is the Conference UMW Annual Meeting at North Highland UMC in Aberdeen, S.D. Registration is due by Sept. 21.

The annual Community Church Bazaar will be Oct. 24 at the Buffalo Mall.
