Aberdeen shooting death ruled accidental

The shooting death of an Aberdeen man in May has been ruled accidental.

ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) — The shooting death of an Aberdeen man in May has been ruled accidental.

Brown County State's Attorney Kimberly Dorsett says 18-year-old Shaun Davis apparently pulled the trigger of a .22-calibre rifle he did not know was loaded.

Dorsett says the investigation indicates there might have been alcohol and drug use at the apartment but that it did not necessarily contribute to the shooting.

She says the investigation into the shooting is being closed.
