Jamestown AAUW to meet today

The AAUW Jamestown Branch will meet at 7 p.m. today. Members should note the change in meeting place. The meeting will be held at Cable Services (old Franklin School), 308 Second St. S.W. (use east entrance). There will be a business meeting followed by the program “Breaking Through Barriers,” a Power Point presentation by branch delegates who attended the national AAUW convention in St. Louis in June. Deb Alber, Linda Brown, Kelly Krein and Arlys Netland will give an update on convention business, special speakers and events and what lies ahead for AAUW. Guests are welcome.

North Dakota AAUW members are invited to attend the Sept. 26 North Dakota Women’s Network event to recognize AAUW member Nancy Johnson, as North Dakota Women’s Network “Women of the Year.” Johnson, a representative who has served as a North Dakota legislator for 10 years, will be recognized and receive the award at the NDWN Annual meeting in Dickinson Sept. 26.
