Reward offered in Beach dog death
The Humane Society of the United States is offering a $2,500 reward for information in the apparent beating death of a 10-month-old puppy in Beach.
BEACH, N.D. (AP) — The Humane Society of the United States is offering a $2,500 reward for information in the apparent beating death of a 10-month-old puppy in Beach.
Golden Valley County Sheriff Scott Steele said the Pekingese puppy apparently was killed in the family’s yard in the middle of town on Aug. 14 while the family was gone, and then taken from the residence.
Steele said there was a large amount of blood at the scene, leading authorities to believe the missing dog is dead.
Ann Chynoweth with the Humane Society said the organization wanted to get involved because of the evidence suggesting a violent crime.
The reward is for information leading to the conviction of whoever is responsible.
