Allen “Cutta” Strand, 75, Bowdon, N.D., died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at Carrington Health Center, Carrington, N.D. Mr. Strand was born Dec. 4, 1933, at Bowdon, the son of Henry and Ida (Hendrickson) Strand.

Allen “Cutta” Strand, 75, Bowdon, N.D., died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at Carrington Health Center, Carrington, N.D.

Mr. Strand was born Dec. 4, 1933, at Bowdon, the son of Henry and Ida (Hendrickson) Strand. He grew up and attended school in Bowdon. He lived in Bowdon his entire life and work as a farm laborer for farmers in the Bowdon area. He also hauled coal for many years and worked at the local elevators.

He is survived by two brothers, Alvin “Tulla,” Carrington, and Ivan (Irene), Hillsboro, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harry, Lorence and Lester.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Bowdon Lutheran Church, Bowdon.

Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden, N.D.

Burial: Wayside Cemetery, Bowdon.
