MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — A trade delegation from the Philippines wants to see North Dakota's wheat crop this week.
The country is the state's second-largest wheat customer.
The team is made up of executives representing the Philippine Association of Flour Millers Inc. and the Chamber of Philippine Flour Millers.
Its members will meet with representatives of the North Dakota Wheat Commission and other wheat industry officials, check out this year's crop and market opportunities.
Officials say the climate in the Philippines does not allow farmers there to grow wheat.
