A Jamestown woman was injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday evening, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Ross Walch, 24, 1417 Fifth Ave. N.E., was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson westbound on Stutsman County Road 38, 2.7 miles west of Ypsilanti, just after 7 p.m., the patrol said.

His passenger, Rashel Gabel, 30, 625 Second St. S.W., was holding onto Walch’s waist. She let go of Walch and fell from the motorcycle onto the pavement and slid into the north ditch.

Walch braked and stopped on the roadway.

They weren’t wearing helmets.

Gabel was transported to Jamestown Hospital and later to Fargo. The accident is under investigation.
