Youth pheasant weekend set for Oct. 3 through 4
North Dakota’s two-day youth pheasant hunt is slated for Oct. 3-4, according to the North Dakota Game and Fish Department. The season is open to legally licensed residents and non-residents ages 15 and younger who may hunt roosters statewide.

Resident youth must possess a fishing, hunting and furbearer certificate and general game and habitat license.
Non-resident youth from states with reciprocal licensing agreements also qualify for North Dakota licen-sure.
Shooting hours are one-half hour before sunrise to sunset. Daily bag limit and all other regulations for the regular season apply.
An adult at least 18 years of age must accompany the youth in the field. The adult is not allowed to carry a firearm.
