Local Girl Scouts to pilot program

Girl Scouts — Dakota Horizons has been chosen to pilot a program called “Forever Green.” During the next year, Girl Scouts in this area have the opportunity to design and implement community action projects that bring about lasting and sustainable change and advocate for greener schools and community areas.

Girl Scouts will work with community agencies and government entities to learn about environmental issues that affect the public. Working with these groups, Girl Scouts will research important issues to im-prove the environment of their schools or community. All planning for change will be led by Scouts and work with community leaders to result in lasting change within their schools or community.
