FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Fargo officials say the city has reached a $450,000 settlement with the family of an 8-year-old girl killed in a December 2008 crash.
Amanda Leininger was a passenger in a car driven by her 15-year-old sister, Jessica, that collided with another vehicle on a road that witnesses said had a dangerous rut.
A statement from the city Wednesday said the Leininger family and the city reached a resolution after settlement discussions in late July. City attorney Erik Johnson says the case was resolved before a lawsuit was filed.
The statement also said included thanks from the family for continued support.
