VCSU to host dinner and dance

The annual Valley City State University Music Scholarship Dinner-Dance will be Oct. 16 at A&J’s Lounge, Valley City, south of Interstate 94 next to the Bjornson Golf Course. A full buffet dinner will be served followed by an evening of music performed by local jazz bands, including the VCSU Jazz Ensemble.

A silent auction will feature such items as locally produced wines, art work and piano tuning services.

The buffet dinner with a full evening of entertainment will be available for $25 per person.

The dinner will be accompanied by a cash bar, which will open at 6 p.m. with the buffet following at 6:30. The music will begin at 7:30 with auction results at 9:30 p.m.

Tickets to the dinner-dance must be purchased in advance at the Foss Hall Music Office (701-845-7272). Patrons may elect to attend the dancing portion beginning at 7:30 p.m. for a donation of $15 at the door.
