Casselton ethanol plant shuts down

The Tharaldson Ethanol plant at Casselton is shut down because of equipment issues. Tharaldson Senior Vice President Kyle Newman said officials are determining whether they can get dryer equipment running properly or if it needs to be replaced.

CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) — The Tharaldson Ethanol plant at Casselton is shut down because of equipment issues.

Tharaldson Senior Vice President Kyle Newman said officials are determining whether they can get dryer equipment running properly or if it needs to be replaced.

The plant was shut down a couple of weeks ago. Newman said the company wants to get the facility running as soon as possible. He declined comment on how the shutdown is affecting employees.
