West Fargo officials say water is safe
West Fargo officials say official water tests in a city neighborhood have found no trace of E. coli bacteria, and the water is safe to drink. Some residents are not so certain.
WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) — West Fargo officials say official water tests in a city neighborhood have found no trace of E. coli bacteria, and the water is safe to drink. Some residents are not so certain.
The tests were prompted by an unofficial test last week done by Fargo Cass Public Health at the request of a resident who had fallen ill. That test came back positive for E. coli.
Cass Rural Water District General Manager Jerry Blomeke says no trace of any bacteria was found in official tests done on two homes in the area. He said results of another test are pending.
