Beyer named top JRCC worker

Correctional Officer II Jeff Beyer was chosen as employee of the month for September for the James River Correctional Center. Beyer was assigned to the night shift for two years and can be relied upon to complete his assigned duties with limited or no supervision.

Officials said Beyer has acquired an excellent knowledge of the facility’s physical plant and procedures. Beyer was recently selected to perform the quarterly key check and was able to made a number of recommendations that were implemented. He takes the initiative to become familiar with all posts he may be required to work.

Beyer was chosen for employee of the month due to his reliability, knowledge, and contributions to the JRCC.
