GRAND FORKS (AP) — A Grand Forks kidney doctor who owns five clinics in the Aurora Medical Park could be evicted if he does not pay more than $288,000 in overdue rent.
A judge on Thursday ordered that Dr. Khaled Rabadi vacate his space at the medical complex by the end of the month. Medical park attorney Greg Thompson said it is now up to Aurora whether to enforce the eviction. He says, “Money talks.”
Rabadi said Aurora filed the eviction suit in retaliation for allegations he made about mismanagement within the company.
Thompson said his client would like to avoid eviction but wants the rent money. Rabadi said he’s withholding the rent in protest, though he won’t comment on whether he has the money.
