Meetings set on Missouri River operating plan

The Army Corps of Engineers is holding public meetings in five states next week to take comments on its proposed 2009-10 operating plan for the Missouri River system.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The Army Corps of Engineers is holding public meetings in five states next week to take comments on its proposed 2009-10 operating plan for the Missouri River system.

The corps will discuss this year's operation of the dams and reservoirs and explain what is planned for next year.

Meetings are scheduled Monday in Nebraska City, Neb.; Tuesday in Kansas City and Jefferson City, Mo.; Wednesday in Fort Peck, Mont., and Bismarck, N.D.; and Thursday in Fort Pierre, S.D.
