Helen Ranallo

Helen Ranallo, 92, Jamestown, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center, Jamestown.

Helen Gordon was born Feb. 12, 1917, in Jamestown, the daughter of Oscar and Agnes (Anderson) Gordon. She grew up in Eldridge, N.D. She graduated from Jamestown High School, Jamestown, and Mrs. Matchles Business College. She worked as a bookkeeper for Gambles and later the White Drug store, Jamestown. She married Albert J. Ranallo on April 25, 1952. They lived in Eldridge. He died April 25, 1998. She moved to Jamestown and lived at the Gardenette until she entered Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center in February 2009.

She is survived by a stepdaughter, Jean Hanson, Jamestown; a sister, Nell Peterson, Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren; and special friends, Judy and Gene Rosemore, Eldridge, and Duane and Jesse Schultz and Adeline Grenz, all James-town.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three sisters, Marie Olive, Amy Gordon and Corinne Thiesen.

Services: 1 p.m. Monday at The Rev. G.L. Riffe Memorial Chapel, Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown, with Chaplain David Fisher officiating.

Visitation: one hour before the service at the chapel. Arrangements by Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.

Memorials: in lieu of flowers, to The Rev. G.L. Riffe Memorial Chapel or Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center.
