The North Dakota Department of Human Services is getting federal money to set up a pilot project to help senior citizens and their families get needed services.
BISMARCK (AP) — The North Dakota Department of Human Services is getting federal money to set up a pilot project to help senior citizens and their families get needed services.
The $203,000 from the Federal Administration on Aging will fund the Aging and Disability Resource Center project.
Gov. John Hoeven and Human Services Director Carol Olson said the project will provide information about long-term care services and also help connect people with those services.
The West Central Human Service Center in Bismarck will guide the project, which will focus first on Burleigh County. If the state gets more money, the initiative will expand over three years to include Emmons, Grant, Kidder, McLean, Mercer, Morton, Oliver, Sheridan and Sioux counties.
