Girl Scouts begin fall fundraiser

Girl Scouts — Dakota Horizons kicked off their Fall Product Sale on Oct. 2 and will be taking orders through Oct. 18. Top-selling products include cans of whole cashews, Salsa Mix, Double Dipped Chocolate Peanuts, chewy fruit slices and Mint Meltaways along with boxes of Deluxe Pecan Clusters and Peanut Butter Dreams. In addition to nuts and candy, Girl Scouts are selling magazine subscriptions.

Better known for their cookies, Girl Scouts began selling nuts in the 1950s gaining popularity in the 1990s and continues growing today. The Fall Product Sale helps girls and troops earn start-up funds for the year’s activities and programs.

Girl Scouts — Dakota Horizons offers activities and adventures for girls. Programs are girl led, activities are hands on and Girl Scouts work together to make a difference in their communities and beyond.
