Elizabeth Leimer
Elizabeth (Mueller) Leimer, 95, Jamestown, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown. Elizabeth Stern was born Feb. 22, 1914, in Robinson, N.D., the daughter of Fredrick and Fredricka Stern.
Elizabeth (Mueller) Leimer, 95, Jamestown, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown.
Elizabeth Stern was born Feb. 22, 1914, in Robinson, N.D., the daughter of Fredrick and Fredricka Stern. She grew up and attended school in Robinson. She married Jacob Mueller on Nov. 15, 1929, in Steele, N.D. They farmed north of Robinson until 1937 when they moved to Tuttle, N.D. In 1951 they moved to Jamestown, where she worked for J.C. Penney Co. for 25 years as a seamstress and clerk. He died Oct. 9, 1975. She married John Leimer on Jan. 5, 1985. They lived in Jamestown. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Jamestown.
She is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Krieger, Lodi, Calif., and Patricia (Kent) Otto, Grace City, N.D.; two stepdaughters, Gloria (Ron) Stricker, Elk River, Minn., and Karen Devitt, Chandler, Ariz.; a son-in-law, Carl Pfarr, Jamestown; a brother, Fred Schuler, Jamestown; three half-sisters, Bertha Bauer, Lodi, Calif., Sophia Beckman, Ypsilanti, N.D., and Lydia Noonan, Fort Collins, Colo.; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; a daughter, Betty Pfarr; a son-in-law, Raymond Kreiger; two sisters, Lena Wolf and Emilia Bauer; a brother, Christ Schuler; a half-sister, Emma Leimer; two half-brothers, Edwin Schuler and Theodore Schuler; and two grandchildren, Perry Pfarr and Brian Remboldt.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, First Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Richard Reynolds officiating.
Visitation: 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
