Sobriety checkpoint held Saturday
The North Dakota Highway Patrol and Morton County Sheriff’s Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint Saturday on North Dakota Highway 49, about 2 miles south of Glen Ullin, N.D., according to a patrol press release. The checkpoint began at 6 p.m. and lasted 2 hours. All northbound and southbound vehicles were stopped at the checkpoint for a period of about 15 to 20 seconds.

The agencies stopped 40 vehicles. They evaluated one driver for impairment but made no arrests. Two automobile occupants were cited for open containers of alcohol.
