Cause still unknown in cabin fire

No cause has been determined for a fire that destroyed an empty cabin owned by Kurt Eddy on Spiritwood Lake on Sept. 4, said Jason Falk, detective for the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office.

No cause has been determined for a fire that destroyed an empty cabin owned by Kurt Eddy on Spiritwood Lake on Sept. 4, said Jason Falk, detective for the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office.

The cabin was not insured and there was no electricity hooked up when the fire occurred, Falk said.

“It’s pretty obvious someone burnt that place down,” he said.

The cabin was located at 347 Glenwood Ave.

The investigation remains open. Anyone who has any information may call the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office at 252-9000.
