Woman dies in crash near Streeter

A crash near Streeter, N.D., killed one woman and injured two others Wednesday afternoon, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

A crash near Streeter, N.D., killed one woman and injured two others Wednesday afternoon, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The patrol said a 48-year-old woman was driving a 2002 Buick sedan southbound on N.D. Highway 30 at about 4:52 p.m. Wednesday. The woman was about 3 miles north of Streeter when she lost control on the snow- and slush-covered highway. The Buick entered the northbound lane in a spin. The car was struck at a right angle on its passenger side by a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Troy Allen Sayler, 40, Bismarck.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol said. Her passenger, a 2-year-old boy, was injured and taken to Jamestown Hospital. Sayler was also injured and taken to Jamestown Hospital.

The patrol said Sayler and the woman were wearing seat belts and their airbags deployed. The boy had been secured in a car seat.

The Chevrolet sustained $17,500 damage in the crash and the Buick sustained $12,000 damage, the patrol said.

The names of the woman and boy have not been released.

The crash is still under investigation.
