Jamestown student at NSU performing senior recital
Northern State University students April Worlie, Conde, S.D., and Amanda Lee, Jamestown, will present a joint senior recital at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Berggren Recital Hall in Johnson Fine Arts Center.
Northern State University students April Worlie, Conde, S.D., and Amanda Lee, Jamestown, will present a joint senior recital at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Berggren Recital Hall in Johnson Fine Arts Center.
Worlie is a 2005 graduate of Conde High School and is majoring in music education with an emphasis in voice. Lee, the daughter of Blaine Lee and Hye Kyong Lee, is a 2005 graduate of Jamestown High School. She is double majoring in music performance with an emphasis in voice and English with an emphasis in writing.
While attending NSU, Lee has participated in the Concert Choir and the Aberdeen University Civic Symphony. Upon graduating Lee plans to continue her education and earn a master’s degree in English writing. She also intends to continue working on her own music and teaching an occasional tennis lesson from time to time.
Lee will be accompanied by NSU’s Dr. Marcela Faflak. She will perform selections from composers Copland, Granados, Ponce, Fain, Wilson, Gershwin and Puccini.
Worlie and Lee will take the stage together for a duet where they will perform “What is This Feeling” by Schwartz.
NSU is located in Aberdeen, S.D.
The recital is free and the public is invited to attend.
