Rotary Club to have food drive
The Jamestown Rotary Club will collect non-perishable food items throughout the community through Monday to benefit the Community Action Food Pantry. Collection containers are available at Rotary member businesses and at County Market on Monday.
The Jamestown Rotary Club will collect non-perishable food items throughout the community through Monday to benefit the Community Action Food Pantry. Collection containers are available at Rotary member businesses and at County Market on Monday. Rotary members will also be at County Market from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday for the food drive.
Participating businesses include; Ameriprise Financial, US Bank, Ottmar Law Firm, the Anne Carlsen Center, KISS/KSJB, Unison Bank and the Jamestown College Education Department.
All items collected will be donated to the Community Action Food Pantry in Jamestown.
“Hunger is one of Rotary International’s focus areas along with literacy, polio eradication and clean water. In Jamestown we have people who do not get enough food and this community always steps up when there is a need,” said Tom Boerger, Rotary president.
