Scottish dinner set in Fargo
The annual Scottish dinner and program, of the St. Andrew’s Society, will be held on Nov. 7, at the Ramada Plaza Suites and Conference Center in Fargo. The social hour will begin at 5 p.m. and the dinner will begin at 6 p.m.

In addition to the meal, the evening will include an opportunity to learn about how the bagpipes are played; viewing Scottish tartans; Jim Sinclair, Detroit Lakes, as Master of Ceremonies; music by The Heather and Thistle Pipes and Drums Band; recitation of Robert Burn’s poem, “Ode to a Haggis,” by Graeme Wyllie; and traditional Scottish dancing performed by members of the Minnesota Celtic Dance Association, St. Paul.
On Nov. 8, there will be two Kirkin O’ The Tartan services at the First Presbyterian Church, Fargo. Services will begin at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. and each will include a presentation of the tartans of Scottish clans. Reverend Stephen Shrive will officiate.
