SPRING HILL, Minn. (AP) — A central Minnesota man is doing OK after being rescued from a corn bin.

Stearns County sheriff's deputies were called Tuesday to a farm near Spring Hill by a man who said his 39-year-old son, Steven Pung, had climbed into the bin on the family's farm.

While Pung was in the bin, the auger started running, pulling him down in the shelled corn. Deputies and rescue squad members arrived to find Pung completely submerged in the corn.

Rescuers shoveled away the corn and freed Pung. He was treated and released from a Paynesville hospital.
