An FBI spokesman says a teenager who was in custody for a parole violation has been charged in the stabbing death of another teen on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation.

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — An FBI spokesman says a teenager who was in custody for a parole violation has been charged in the stabbing death of another teen on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation.

Authorities say 18-year-old Marcus Lone Bear Jr., is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Preston Young Bird.

FBI spokesman E. K. Wilson says Lone Bear was arrested on the charge Thursday in Minot, where he was already in custody.

Lone Bear is scheduled to make his initial court appearance on the murder charge Monday morning.

Authorities say the 18-year-old Young Bird was killed in a fight Oct. 15. Witnesses said he and Lone Bear had been drinking at a home in the New Town area.
