Woman dies after crashing during chase

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Sioux Falls police say a woman died after her car crashed as she tried to elude a Highway Patrol trooper.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Sioux Falls police say a woman died after her car crashed as she tried to elude a Highway Patrol trooper.

The victim of the crash about 2 a.m. Sunday was not immediately identified.

Authorities say her car smashed into trees and rolled. She was extricated from the vehicle and taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police say the woman had been drinking and was driving at a high speed.
