North Dakota’s congressional delegation, Sen. Byron Dorgan, Sen. Kent Conrad and Rep. Earl Pomeroy, joined Jasper Schneider, North Dakota state director for USDA, in making the announcement this morning.
USDA approved $31 million in a direct loan and $15 million in a guaranteed loan. This is the largest project Rural Development North Dakota has ever been involved in.
The new 100,000 square-foot medical center will be a state-of-the-art facility. With the loan approval, construction can begin this fall. The new facility is scheduled to open in 2011.
