Jimmies win fifth straight

VALLEY CITY - The Jamestown College footall team ended a 5-0 October with a 38-19 win over Valley City State on Saturday at Lokken Field.

Mike Beehler threw for 259 yards, Max Boe caught two more touchdowns as the Jimmies built a 31-7 fourth-quarter lead en route to their fifth straight win.

The Jimmies piled up 483 yards of offense and the defense held Valley City State to one touchdown into the fourth quarter.

Boe’s two scores give the sophomore from Texas 10 on the season and he has two in each of the last four games.

The Jimmies close out the regular season Nov. 8 at the inaugural DAC Bowl at the Fargodome. They’ll face Minot State in the 2-3 match-up. The teams met Sept. 26 with the Beavers winning 33-7. Since then JC is 5-0.
