Minot residents upset by apartments

MINOT (AP) — Some southeast Minot residents are objecting to a proposed apartment complex near their neighborhood.
The undeveloped area is zoned for multifamily housing. But neighbors said the seven, 36-unit apartment buildings planned by Dakota Commercial and Development Co. of Grand Forks could be an eyesore and could increase traffic to dangerous levels.
The city’s Planning Commission last week rejected the proposal for the complex. Because it does not require a zoning change, it does not have to go before the City Council.
