Minn. woman dies in house fire

WORTHINGTON, Minn. — An elderly rural Worthington, Minn., woman died early Monday as a result of a fire at her residence.

Several fire departments and the Minnesota Fire Marshal Division were dispatched to the fire, which was reported at 2:28 a.m. Monday. While fighting the fire, Worthington firefighters determined the home was occupied by an elderly woman whose identity is currently being withheld pending notification of relatives.

The fire is under investigation pending results of the autopsy.
