Pageant set for Saturday
Seven young women will compete for the titles of Miss Fort Abercrombie, Miss Peace Garden and Miss James River Valley at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Montpelier High School gymnasium.
Seven young women will compete for the titles of Miss Fort Abercrombie, Miss Peace Garden and Miss James River Valley at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Montpelier High School gymnasium.
Competition events include talent, interview, evening gown, lifestyle and fitness in swimwear, and on-stage question. All seven of these women will receive a $100 scholarship for participating in the pageant, and the three new titleholders will receive an additional $500 scholarship and go on to compete in the Miss North Dakota Pageant in Williston June 10-12, 2010.
Miss North Dakota 2010, Katie Ralston of Carrington, will be master of ceremonies for the event and will perform her talent selection during the show. Other featured performers include Miss Peace Garden 2009, Jessica Harper, Miss Fort Abercrombie 2009, Arianne Martinovich and Miss Peace Garden 2007, Alyson Wilhelmi.
Competing contestants represent the areas of LaMoure, Adrian, Valley City, Penn, Carrington, Fargo and Wahpeton.
Admission is $6 per person.
