OAKES, N.D. (AP) — State Highway 1 in southeastern North Dakota has reopened after being shut down while firefighters battled a blaze at an Oakes business.

The Dickey County sheriff's office says the highway was reopened about 6 a.m. Wednesday after being blocked late Tuesday.

The fire broke out around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and fire crews spent all night on the scene. Roberts says the business was destroyed.
