Three advance to Miss N.D. competition

The Montpelier Pageant was held Saturday night in the Montpelier High School Gymnasium. Seven young women from across the state competed for the titles of Miss Fort Abercrombie, Miss Peace Garden and Miss James River Valley. Each contestant was awarded a $100 scholarship and each of the three new titleholders were awarded an additional $500 scholarship. These scholarships were provided by the following sponsors: Todd Sjostrom Ag Services, Sky Farmer Ag Services, Dally Up Bar & Grill, Larson Grain, Seeds 2000, Mastel’s Heating and Air Conditioning, Dwight and Janet Hendrickson, Dennis and Dorothy Hendrickson and Directors Rich Holm and Kristen Lynch.

Amy Frauenberg of LaMoure was crowned Miss James River Valley 2010, Brittany Noltimier of Penn was crowned Miss Fort Abercrombie 2010, and Becky Parker of Williston was crowned Miss Peace Garden 2010. These three ladies will compete in the Miss North Dakota Pageant June 10-12 in Williston. Other award winners include: High Score Talent - Noltimier, High Score Private Interview - Frauenberg, High Score Evening Gown - Noltimier, High Score Lifestyle & Fitness in Swimwear - Noltimier, High Score On-Stage Question - Becky Parker, Miss Congeniality - Rachel Mrozla of Carrington and People’s Choice - Leah Haak of Valley City. Other contestants included Kirci Phillips of Adrian and Katie Harper of Wahpeton.

Special performances were given by Katie Ralston, Miss North Dakota 2010, Cody Ryan, Little Miss North Dakota 2010, Arianne Martinovich, Miss Fort Abercrombie 2009, Jessica Harper, Miss Peace Garden 2009 and Aly Wilhelmi, Miss Peace Garden 2007.
