A 66-year-old semi-truck driver was taken to a Mahnomen hospital following a collision this morning.
According to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol in Detroit Lakes, Minn.:
Ronald A. Voltz of Mahnomen was traveling east on state Highway 200 when he came upon an eastbound John Deere tractor pulling a farm implement. The tractor did not have lights.
Voltz swerved to go around the tractor, but there was an oncoming vehicle in the westbound lane.
The left side of the 2001 Mack truck struck the right side of the tractor and the implement.
The semi entered the ditch and overturned onto its side in a field.
Voltz was taken to Mahnomen Health Center by Mahnomen County Ambulance with a possible broken leg.
The tractor driver, 59-year-old Gene A. Bjerken of Mahnomen was not injured.
The accident was reported at 11:05 a.m.
