Cowell elected to state Lions board
A local Medina Lions Club member was elected to serve on a state Lions board at the Oct. 30-31 State Lions Convention at Mandan, N.D. Mabel Cowell was elected to the North Dakota Lions Eye Bank Board during the annual state meeting.

The two-day convention offered participants breakout sessions on computerized topography of the eye, North Dakota energy resources, Fort Abraham Lincoln frontier diplomacy and history from 1700 to the present, low vision equipment, the origins and current markets of the Mandan-based Cloverdale Foods, implementation of Diabetes Stride Walks and new-member orientation.
