PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — An Indiana man has pleaded not guilty to killing a teenage girl in South Dakota.
Twenty-year-old Alexander Salgado of Fort Wayne, Ind., entered the pleas Wednesday to murder and arson charges.
The body of 16-year-old Jasmine Guevara was found Nov. 10 in the trunk of a burned car in a rural area near Mitchell.
Salgado and a 15-year-old girl are charged in her death. Court documents say the motive for the killing is believed to be the girl's jealousy over a developing relationship between Salgado and Guevara.
