Only one West Nile virus case in N.D.
North Dakota has recorded its lowest summer count of human West Nile cases since the virus was found in the state seven years ago.
BISMARCK (AP) — North Dakota has recorded its lowest summer count of human West Nile cases since the virus was found in the state seven years ago.
Only one human case was confirmed by the state Health Department, and the West Nile threat is over because freezing temperatures this fall have killed the mosquitoes that transmit the disease.
The highest human case total in North Dakota was 617 in 2003.
