Airport boardings up in Jamestown

The Jamestown Regional Airport saw the biggest percentage increase in passenger boardings of all airports in North Dakota in October, according to information released by the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission. Jamestown saw 438 passengers board commercial aircraft in October 2009 compared to 277 in October 2008 for an increase of 58 percent.

The Jamestown Regional Airport saw the biggest percentage increase in passenger boardings of all airports in North Dakota in October, according to information released by the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission.

Jamestown saw 438 passengers board commercial aircraft in October 2009 compared to 277 in October 2008 for an increase of 58 percent.

Fargo saw the greatest numeric increase with 29,891 boardings in October 2009 compared to 26,908 in the same month last year for an increase of 11 percent.

Statewide passenger boardings in North Dakota topped 62,000 in October. This is a 5 percent increase from 59,000 boardings in the same month last year.

“October has been a stellar month for our airlines in North Dakota,” said Larry Taborsky, director of the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission. “Both the commercial and regional airports showed increases in boardings compared to October last year.”
