Arthaud to co-direct statewide Torch Run
Special Olympics North Dakota has appointed Kevin Arthaud as co-director of the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
Special Olympics North Dakota has appointed Kevin Arthaud as co-director of the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
Arthaud will share responsibilities for the statewide program with co-director Sgt. Gary Grove of Grand Forks. LETR is the largest grassroots program for raising funds and awareness for Spe4cial Olympics. Arthaud, chief of security at James River Correctional Center, Jamestown, has been involved in the program for many years and will continue to plan and facilitate fundraisers as well as recruit other law enforcement officers for the program and represent SOND at various functions.
Special Olympics North Dakota is a non-profit organization that provides year-round physical fitness, sports training, recreation and competition in 15 sports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. All activities are provided free of cost to the participants. More than 1,400 athletes are served in North Dakota.
