DRAYTON, N.D. (AP) — The state Health Department is monitoring a diesel spill in northeastern North Dakota following a semitrailer crash.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said the cash happened at about 9:20 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 29, south of Drayton. Troopers say the truck jackknifed and entered the median.

The patrol said the driver was not hurt.

Kris Roberts, an environmental scientist with the state Health Department, says about 180 gallons of diesel spilled after a fuel tank ruptured.

Roberts said the trucking company is responsible for the cleanup.
